Rikard Slipper, a former agent of the Argentine Ezequiel Garay, called the strange player’s transfer from the Portuguese “Benfica” in the Russian “Zenith”. According to him, Bayern were ready to pay for the Argentinian a much larger sum.

“In the summer of 2014 during the world Cup in Brazil, Bayern offered 20 million for Garay. The terms of the contract for the player has also been above offered by the Russian club,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

Real Madrid had the right to receive half of the amount for the transfer of Garay to another club. In 2014, the defender became a player of “Zenith”, who paid Benfica for six million euros.

Representatives of “real” put this figure into question , and appealed to the court of arbitration for Sport (CAS).

“I think Garay just found out about the offer from Bayern. Its market value much more than six million paid by Zenit. I understand why “real” appealed to the arbitration court. The deal smelled bad from the beginning and looked strange,” said Sleeper.

The case is in production with CAS may 2016.

Garay at the end of August has passed from “Zenith” in Spanish “Valencia”. Prior to that, he played for Benfica, real Madrid, real racing club and Newell’s old boys”.
