Airbus at the Paris air show in Le Bourget, presented an updated modification of the largest passenger airliner in the world A380 – A380plus, which will be more economical and roomy. And, as the manufacturer hopes, will sell better than the current version, says Reuters.
At the air show, Airbus showed an updated wingtip – according to engineers, they can save carriers up to 4% fuel. Was previously submitted other modifications – new stairs and areas of the crew, which allow you to save some space in the cabin.
According to the calculations, due to all the changes A380plus will be able to fly with a maximum weight of 578 tons – that is, to take on Board 80 more passengers or fuel on an additional 300 nautical miles.
All this will reduce the airline costs per passenger by 13% compared to the current A380.
In addition, Airbus promises that the new modification will be longer service intervals, it will allow you to spend more time in the air.
