“Alfa-Bank” and the Corporation “Uralvagonzavod” (UVZ) has signed a settlement agreement on the suit of a multibillion-dollar debt Uralvagonzavod, reports RBC.
The parties requested the dismissal of the claims, including claims of property UVZ pledged as collateral on loans. The arbitration court of Chelyabinsk region, which must approve the agreement step-by-step completion of all the proceedings, declared a break till September 28.
We are talking about a debt restructuring of subsidiary companies of Uralvagonzavod (“CHTZ-Uraltrak” and “Uraltransmash”) before “Alfa-Bank”.
In early September 2016 UVZ applied for the provision of government guarantees to 16 billion rubles. The General Director of factory Oleg Sienko then told reporters that the receipt of state guarantees will allow the Corporation to 2021 to extend the payments on loans, which he expires in 2016.
Recall the litigation between the Bank and the creators of the tank “Armata” began in the spring of last year, when “daughter” of the past made a late payment on the loan, the guarantor which are to UVZ and another subsidiary.
Taking into account delays and liquidated damages the amount of the claim was $ 6,054 billion and 39.7 million dollars. Later, the Bank said the amount of the claim, having demanded to collect with Uralvagonzavod and its subsidiaries 7,346 billion and 30,203 million dollars for six lines of credit.
In may 2015 the court at the request of “Alfa-Bank” was arrested 523 million rubles belonging “Uralvagonzavod”. General Director of Uralvagonzavod Oleg Sienko called the actions “Alfa-Bank” blackmail.
In addition, the creators of the tank “Armata” complained about the situation to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees the defense industry.
The claim of “Alfa-Bank”, according to UVZ, has led to the refusal of lenders to Finance Uralvagonzavod company on the current conditions within the limits of existing agreements. This leads to a shortage of sources of financing operating activities of the enterprise.
A year later, in may 2016, the court resumed the trial on the claim of the Bank to CTZ, Uralvagonzavod and TPT to recover the debt on the six loans that had been suspended during the pendency of the appeal.
