Appointed the new head of Rosatom is Sergei Kiriyenko, who went to work in the presidential administration
The new Director General of state Corporation “Rosatom” was appointed the first Deputy Minister of economic development Alexey Likhachev. Until recently this position was held by Sergey Kirienko, have passed to work in presidential administration of the Russian Federation. The corresponding presidential decree was published on the website of the Kremlin.
Earlier “Rosatom”, told reporters that after the departure of Kiriyenko as acting CEO of the Corporation became its first Deputy head Alexander Lokshin.
“According to the established order during the absence of the Director General, his duties shall be the first Deputy for operational management Alexander Lokshin. So it is today: before the decree of the President on the appointment of the new Director General of state Corporation Alexander Markovich Lokshin tasked to exercise operational control over the nuclear industry,” the company said (quoted by RIA “Novosti”).
Alexey Likhachev in 2000-2007 was the Deputy of the state Duma. He later held the position of Advisor to the Minister of economic development of Russia. From 2008 to 2009 Likhachev was the head of consolidated Department for analysis and regulation of foreign economic activity, Ministry of economic development. In 2010 was appointed to the post of Deputy Minister, and in February last year became the first Deputy MAYOR.
The former General Director “Rosatom” Sergey Kiriyenko, in his turn, was appointed by Vladimir Putin, first Deputy head of presidential administration of the Russian Federation. This post became vacant after the election of Vyacheslav Volodin, the Deputy of the state Duma of the seventh convocation.
