In Germany on one of the enterprises of the chemical concern BASF in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, an explosion occurred, stated on page of company in Facebook. According to Die Zeit, one person was killed, six wounded, six missing.

The explosion occurred near the factory harbour, where tankers arriving with oil and gas. On the causes of the incident is still unknown. The group said that the excess of admissible emissions of harmful substances was recorded.

The inhabitants of Ludwigshafen advised to close Windows and doors and not to go outside. Production at the factory suspended. According to firefighters, the Northern part of the city heavily shrouded in smoke.

BASF is a large German chemical company produces chemicals, plastics, fine chemicals products, as well as manufactures products for agriculture.
