Six Russian films, including “the Apprentice” by Kirill Serebrennikov and “Zoology” by Ivan Tverdovsky, was included in the program of the jubilee 60 th London film festival, which opens in the British capital on Wednesday, 5 October.
As reminds RIA “news”, “Student” Serebrennikov, published this year, has already received an independent Francois Chalet prize at the 69th Cannes film festival and the best Director award at Kinotavr. But the drama “Zoology” Tverdovsky awarded the prize of the Guild of film critics “Elephant”.
In London will also be shown a documentary film by Steven Cantor’s “the Dancer” about Sergei Polunin. This is a joint work of the United States, Russia and the UK. In addition, the program included cartoons “Cloudberries” and “the Hippo and compote” Polina and Aleksey minchenok and Russian-British short film “hero City”.
Remember, the London film festival has been held annually since 1957 and is considered one of the most important cinema events in the country. This year the program includes 245 films from 74 countries. The screenings will be held from 15 theaters.
