Beckham has ranked Milan as favourites in the Champions League, although the club does not participate in the tournament
The former captain of the England football David Beckham was named among the contenders to win the Champions League in the current season of the Italian “Milan”, forgetting that the club does not participate in this tournament. This opinion he expressed in an interview with the newspaper “Sport 360″ (UAE).
Milan last season failed to get into European competitions, finishing in tenth place in the Italian championship, but it did not bother Beckham, who gave an interview during the first six years of stay in Dubai.
“Who I want to see the winner of the Champions League and who, in my opinion, its actually win are two different things. I would say, “Manchester United”, “Paris Saint-Germain and Milan”… One of these three clubs I would like to see the winner. When you play in the Champions League, you understand how important this tournament in football.”
Beckham also said the players, the game which impressed him: “I Have to say – Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, I think Alvaro Morata is a spectacular player. Marco Veratti from PSG, I played with him, he also the great and talented football player. And, of course, Neymar”.
The Englishman, among other clubs played for “Manchester United” (1993-2003), Milan (2009-2010), PSG (2013). Meanwhile, speaking for the Milan club, Beckham has not won a title of the champion of the country, underlines the President.
