The famous American musician Bob Dylan, not a word said about the Nobel prize at the first show after the announcement of the award of his award.
The performance of the newly minted Nobel laureate was held at the USA in Las Vegas (Nevada), reports The Guardian.

On Thursday, the Nobel Committee announced that the Nobel prize Bob Dylan was awarded for “creation of a new poetic expression in the great American song tradition.” He became the first musician among all winners of the award and the first American who received the award for the last 23 years. In 1993 the Nobel prize was awarded to American writer Toni Morrison.
Bob Dylan is an iconic figure in the world of music. On account of the musician – more than 50 albums and nine Grammy awards. In 1988, Bob Dylan went into the Hall of fame rock-n-roll. In 2008, he received the Pulitzer prize “for outstanding impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of exceptional poetic power.”
The decision of the Nobel Committee to award the prize in literature, Dylan was perceived ambiguously in society and among writers. For example, the American-Lebanese artist and writer in Rabigh Alamuddin in his Twitter expressed the opinion that handing the award to Dylan was almost as stupid as in 1953 to award it to the Prime Minister of great Britain Winston Churchill.
Meanwhile it became known that the Swedish Academy has not yet been able to contact Dylan to personally inform him of the award. TASS said Friday the person responsible for press relations Ulrike Chillin.
“We contacted his agent. But Bob Dylan was asleep before the show (in Las Vegas), so personally with him, we he could not talk”, she said.
According to Chillin, permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy Sara Danius tried unsuccessfully to get through to the artist all night. “Yeah, we don’t always get through, but to connect with Dylan we need. The main thing is to know whether he will come to the award ceremony on 10 December,” explained Chillin.
The award winners will take place on 10 December at the Stockholm Philharmonic on the day of Alfred Nobel’s death. From the hands of king Carl XVI Gustaf, the laureates will receive a gold medal with the portrait of the founder of the prize and a diploma. The size of the monetary component of the Nobel prize this year, as in the previous three years is 8 million euros (905 thousand U.S. dollars at current exchange rates).
