Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko in the ring of Las Vegas won the confidence of the Jamaican Nicholas Walters and defended the title of world champion in the first lightweight champion under version WBO (Super). After the seventh round, Walters refused to continue the fight.

“I strive to be the best boxer of the world regardless of weight category, – said Vasily after the fight. Now I want a meeting with Vargas. I want the WBC”.

Lomachenko first time in his career defended the title of WBO world champion, which he won in June of this year, thanks to the victory over Puerto Rican Roman Martinez by knockout in the fifth round. Then he set a record, spending the least number of fights to win a world title among professionals in the second weight category to seven.

In June 2014, Lomachenko repeated the record in professional Boxing, becoming champion of the world just only in the third match. Beating American Gary Russell on points by a majority of votes, he won the WBO title in the weight category up to 57.15 kg.

We will note that earlier the promoters Lomachenko has stated that in case of a victory over Walters will try to arrange him a fight with the famous Filipino Manny Pacquiao.
