Coaching staff of Russian national team on football, led by Stanislav Cherchesov has defined a list of players who will be called to prepare for the friendly match with Costa Rica on 9 October in Krasnodar.

As the press service of the Russian football Union (RFU), mainly the list includes 23 players.

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA), Soslan Dzhanaev (“Rostov”), Stanislav Kritsuk (“Krasnodar”).

Defenders: Vasily Berezutsky (CSKA), Yury Zhirkov, Ivan Novoseltsev, Igor Smolnikov (“Zenit”), Fedor Kudryashov, (“Rostov”), Ilya Kutepov (“Spartak”), Sergey Petrov (Krasnodar), Andrey Semenov (Terek), the novel Shishkin (“the locomotive”).

Midfielders: Yuri Gazinskiy (FC Krasnodar), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA), Aleksandr Erokhin (“Rostov”), Roman Zobnin (“Spartak”), Magomed Ozdoev (Rubin), Alexey miranchuk, Alexander Samedov (both “the locomotive”), Oleg Shatov (Zenit).

Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (“Zenith”), Maxim Kanunnikov (Rubin), Fedor Smolov (FC Krasnodar).

Also to work in training camp will involve two players – defender Viktor Vasin (“Ufa”) and midfielder Pavel Mogilevets (Zenit).

Note the regular absence in the composition of football players “Zenith” and “Krasnodar” Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev, who after a disastrous team for the European championship of 2016 took part in a scandalous party in Monte Carlo.

Preparations for the match wards Stanislaus cherchesova will begin on October 4 in Krasnodar.

Russia as the host country of the 2018 world Cup pre-qualified and received the right to participate in the final stage automatically. Team Russia will not hold official matches in the qualifying period.

On 31 August the Russians played a draw (0:0) against Turkey in Antalya. After the game new coach Stanislav Cherchesov said that Russian players are the best in the world, but they lack the killer instinct.

A week later, our team at the Moscow stadium “the locomotive” with the score 1:0 defeated the team of Ghana.
