Businessman Yevgeny Chichvarkin has decided to transfer to opposition leader Alexei Navalny 2.5 million rubles to cover damages in the case of “Kirovles”. About living in London businessman has told on air of”Rain”. Chichvarkin hopes that parting with money is only temporary and will judge them back.

He points out that in the case of “Kirovles” there is a decision of the European court, which declared the sentence unjust. However, the repayment period expires. “I give Alex 2.5 million, he pays the money as he is obliged to pay. And then we go to the court to demand from the Russian Federation this money back. We sure the money was awarded, and we will achieve them the physical receipt,” – said Chichvarkin.

In August, the businessman announced the collection of money in support of Navalny. He said that he sees the necessity of restarting the political process in Russia.

18 Jul Nikulinskiy court of Moscow has collected more than 2 million rubles from Alexei Navalny and businessman Pyotr Ofitserov and gave them the testimony of Vyacheslav Opaleva on the claim of the enterprise “Kirovles”. The company was hoping to recover more than 16 million rubles in damages.

The verdict on the case of plunder of property of “Kirovles” issued in 2013. First, Navalny and Ofitserov were sentenced to real terms, however, then the punishment was changed to conditional. The sentence was canceled after the relevant decision of the ECHR, the court declared the sentence illegal and ordered to pay Navalny and Ofitserova more than 50 thousand euros as compensation for moral damages and court costs.

However, the money were not paid, and the case in 2016 forwarded for reconsideration to the Leninsky district court of Kirov. In February 2017 Navalny and Ofitserov again found guilty of embezzlement of funds of the enterprise. Navalny was sentenced to five years probation, ofitserova to four years probation.
