About 400 depositors of Tatarstan, which had its license revoked, gathered on Saturday at the authorized rally in Moscow demanding the return of their money, reports TASS.
“About 400 people had gathered, according to our calculations, on the picket,” – said the Agency in a press-service UVD of Kazan.
The picket started at noon and lasted a little over an hour. Among the participants were representatives of legal entities, individuals, clients whose assets are in the trust subsidiary of “Tatfondbank” – “TFB-Finance”, the so-called prevalence, whose deposits exceed the insurance amount (1.4 million rubles).
To participate in the action came as investors from Almetevsk, Menzelinsk, Naberezhnye Chelny and other Tatarstan cities.
According to a member of the coordinating Council of the initiative group of the affected depositors Alexandra Umanovo, at the end of the picket, a resolution was adopted that contains a single item – returning the money to investors. They also plan to send the letter with the requirement of the Federal leadership. The next meeting is scheduled for March 18.
In addition, on the morning of March 11, nine depositors of troubled banks gathered in front of the government building of the Republic, to deliver a letter to President Rustam Minnikhanov. In it, they need to seize the accounts of “Tatfondbank” and “Interbanca”, and associated banks. A letter was received by the employee of the Secretariat of the President of Tatarstan.
On 6 March it was reported that victims of the withdrawal of the license of banks, businesses and individuals during a meeting with Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov demanded to create a Fund to support investors and asked to revise the budget of ministries and agencies of the region to reallocate funds in favor of affected customers of the banks.
On the same day they handed a petition to ex-President, current Advisor to the President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, in which they demand to return them money.
On the morning of 4 March, the citizens came to the government building of Tatarstan and handed to the Prime Minister of the Republic Ildar Khalikov, the ultimatum with the requirement to reimburse the lost funds. Protesters also demanded to appeal the decision of the Central Bank’s revocation of licenses of “Tatfondbank” and “IntechBank”.
The Bank of Russia withdrew on March 3, 2017 license for banking operations “Tatfondbank”, which was part of the top 50 largest credit institutions of Russia. The right to work in the financial market are also deprived of “IntechBank” associated with “Tatfondbank”, and another credit institution from Kazan – “Anchorbank”.
The problem of “Tatfondbank” negative impact on many of the smaller banks in the region. A number of credit institutions declared a mass outflow of clients ‘ funds. Some banks were affected due to the fact that maintained in the processing center “Tatfondbank”.
