The head coach of the Ekaterinburg football club “Ural” Vadim Skripchenko is leaving his post. About this 40-year-old Belarusian expert said at an emergency press conference in Yekaterinburg. On Tuesday morning he said goodbye to football team.

“After insulting defeat from “Terek”, which was “Ural” is the third in a row in the championship of Russia, Vadim wrote the letter of resignation at own will. The management of FC “Ural” was set up to further cooperation, but was forced to accept the resignation”, – informs the press service of the club.

“Two days ago, I made a decision: a balanced, deliberate – to leave the post of coach of the club “Ural”. Left but the formalities,” – quoted by TASS statement Skripchenko at the press conference.

The coach noted that his resignation has nothing to do with Sunday’s match against Grozny, “Terek”, and suspicion in the city which is actively exaggerated in the media.

“My leaving has nothing to do with match against “Terek”. I had my reasons,” said Skripchenko.

The President of club Grigory Ivanov explained the action of the coach fatigue, a desire to improve their health and a desire to reconnect with his family in Minsk.

“We had a serious conversation with the coach. It was entirely his decision to leave the club, maybe he’s just tired. Temporary head of the club will be Yuri Matveev,” – said Ivanov.

Skripchenko was succeeded by compatriot Viktor Goncharenko, who in 2015 also suddenly left the club after a “strange” match with “Terek”.

Under the leadership Skripchenko “Ural” was able to repeat his best result of 20 years ago and climb to eighth in the Premier League table at the end of season 2015/16.

The resignation of the coach of “Ural” became the second in two days in the Premier League: on the eve of the Samara “wings of the Soviets” announced the dismissal of Frank Vercauteren.
