Crimean football Union announced the creation of a national team of the Crimea on soccer. As reported by the press service of the Federation, the decision was taken at the November 18 meeting of the Presidium of this organization.
“The decision on the establishment of the football team of the Republic of Crimea and the Federal city of Sevastopol. Also during the meeting a decision was made on the coaching staff of the team”, – stated in the message.
The head coach of Crimea football appointed Valery Petrov, the assistant coach – Sergey Dranov. The team will enter the 30 man: 24 players and six team personnel.
It is expected that the presentation of the national team of Crimea football wide range of the public will be held in the framework of the Crimean football Forum which will be held in Simferopol on 9 December.
The first training camp of the national team will play from 2 to 10 December 2016 in Yalta at the sports complex “arena-Crimea”.
Recall that the Crimean football Union was officially registered in mid-July 2015 and has a special status, UEFA.
Football clubs of the Peninsula were forbidden to participate in competitions of the Russian football Union. With the aim of developing professional soccer in this area it was decided to hold there own competitions among the professional clubs.
