Soviet animator, Director and artist, people’s artist of Russia Eduard Nazarov has died on 75-m to year of life. About TASS reported the press service of the International festival “KROK”, whose President he was. Nazarov participated in the creation of the cartoon “there once was a dog” and “Winnie the Pooh”.

“He’s been sick, had problems with blood vessels,” – said the press service. The time and date of farewell is not yet disclosed.

“Even after surviving a serious operation, Eduard continued to work at home, – said the press service. – He gave advice to students and his former students on Skype, I read dozens of scripts that worked in the expert Council of the National animation award “Ikar”.

As a Director Eduard Nazarov took such cartoons as “there once was a dog”, “adventures of the ant”, “About Sidorov Vova”, as art Director doing animated film “Winnie the Pooh”, “the Island” and others.

Nazarov graduated from the Stroganov school of industrial art, has worked in animation since 1959 – first as a renderer, then assistant art Director at Michael Cebanovschi, art Director at Feodor hitruka. From 1979 to 2000 he taught at the Higher courses for scriptwriters and Directors. In 1993 he organized the school-Studio of animators-Directors “Ball” together with Andrei Khrjanovsky, Fedor Khitruk, Yuri Norstein.

Together with Norshtejna Nazarov participated in the project of Yuri red for creating an animated film based on drawings of children with disabilities.

After the death of Alexander Tatarsky in August 2007 took the position of art Director of Studio “Pilot”.
