Senior assistant GSSC in Moscow Yulia Ivanova in conversation with journalists has confirmed the death of a prisoner in jail N4, but his personality refused to clarify.
According to her, 9 Nov 52-year-old man died while walking, the preliminary cause of death was acute heart failure. Currently there is a check, the results of which will be decided whether there are grounds to initiate a criminal case, including “will give an objective legal assessment to actions of employees of the detention center”.
A member of the Public monitoring Commission of Moscow Dmitry Piskunov has confirmed to journalists of”Moskovskiy Komsomolets”that the detention center died Vladimir Gusev. “November 9, when he was taken for a walk on the seventh floor (where the roof of the new building are the exercise yards), he reached for the wall, sighed, fell and died,” – said Piskunov.
Former Deputy Minister of housing and communal services of the Moscow region were placed in jail in February this year on charges of embezzlement. However, he was arrested while trying to fly to Israel from St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport. Gusev suffered from many diseases, including diabetes, coronary heart disease and hypertension. The newspaper says that doctors at the facility petitioned for his release, but the court extended the arrest.
