The former first racket of the world Russian Maria Sharapova, who is serving a suspension for the use of Meldonium in December to take part in the draw of the International tennis Premier League (IPTL), said GoTennis.ru with reference to the Portuguese edition of Bolamarela.

Their participation in these competitions was confirmed by the Swiss Roger Federer and Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic.

Recall that Sharapova will not be able to participate in official competitions until 26 April 2017. However, this disqualification does not apply to exhibition tournaments, including ATP.

It is a team tennis tournament held in Asia in 2014 and does not fall under the auspices of the International tennis Federation (ITF). It involved five teams made up of players from different countries.

The IPTL matches in 2016 will be held from 2 to 20 December in Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, UAE and India.

We will remind that Maria Sharapova disqualified for the use of Meldonium from 26 January for two years. In October the court of arbitration for Sport reduced the term of Ineligibility to 15 months.

Earlier it was reported that Russian woman in December, may hold an exhibition match against the winner of the Open championship of France Gabriele Muguruza, but the Spaniard refused the match because of an ankle injury.
