Two drunken Finnish women MPs expelled from the dinner in the Swedish Parliament, says with reference to Swedish and Finnish sources Persons involved in the scandal deny the charges and refuse to leave current posts.

The scandal took place in the spring of 2016 during a visit to the Finnish Parliament in Sweden. Members of Parliament Pirkko Mattila (“True Finns”) and Katja hänninen (“Union of left forces”) got drunk at a dinner organized by the speaker of the Swedish Parliament. The speaker of the Finnish Parliament Maria Lohela asked them to leave. It is reported by the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

Lohela confirmed that the deputies were pretty drunk and behaved outrageously, reports the Russian service Yle. What is expressed is not specified. It is known that both politicians were reprimanded for improper conduct.

Mattila and Hanninen deny the allegations of breach of etiquette at a formal event. According to them, no scandal was not. At the same time, the two women apologized to the members of the Finnish delegation and the citizens of the country.

Mattila now holds the post of Minister of social Affairs and health. She’s not going to leave his post because of the scandal.
