In the Netherlands intend to completely abandon the practice of application of artificial turf football pitches due to the fact that it is carcinogenic components lead to cancer, reports TASS.

According to the newspaper The Telegraph, the parents of the students of the Academy of the Dutch “Ajax” was informed that their children will no longer be played on fields with artificial turf, such as lawns will no longer be used.

According to calculations of scientists, the main danger is the rubber crumb which is an important component of artificial turf made of recycled tires. This rubber contains toxic substances that can cause the development of cancer.

Recently on a Dutch TV documentary, pointing to the serious shortcomings of the state of research for health safety of synthetic surfaces football fields. It was conducted in 2006, and since then the number of artificial pitches in the country increased from 300 to 2000.

In particular, their home matches on these lawns hold six clubs in the top division of the championship of Russia on football.

The use of artificial football fields do not lead to the players of cancer. This was stated by the doctor of the national team of Russia on football Eduard Bezuglov.

“Millions of people every day play on artificial fields, if the occurrence of cancer was abandoning the practice would be much more countries.
