More than 8.5 million people took part in the primaries of “United Russia” in the evening on Sunday, said the Secretary of the General Council of the party Sergei Neverov. He called the turnout “very high”.
According to him, in some areas have already run out of ballots, and people fill in the questionnaire. To illustrate the high turnout in the far East, Neverov noted, in particular, that the elections to the city Duma of Vladivostok turnout reached 12%, “but now it is only at the preliminary vote was about 7 percent.” As a region-record holder in the East Neverov called Yakutia, where to open the EP plots reached 14% of voters.
In the whole country “for more than 8.5 million of our citizens went to the polls and voted for candidates whom they would like to see in the future in the list of “United Russia”, reports TASS words Neverova.
“If to speak about elections, which took place in 2011, then for the “United Russia” voted 32 million people. That is, we can now say that by and large, 25% of those voters who voted for the “United Russia”, today went to the polls to choose the candidates they want,” polik said.
Speaking of Moscow and Moscow region, he pointed out that the turnout exceeds 3%. “It is also projected turnout for us, because we saw the turnout at the elections to the Moscow city Duma: it was 4%,” – said Neverov.
Sunday across the country held a preliminary vote (primaries) of the “United Russia”, participation in which is mandatory for the nomination from the party in the elections to the state Duma. According to the United Russia party, in the primaries participates 2781 candidate.
Elections to the state Duma of the seventh convocation will be held on 18 September on a mixed system: 225 deputies are elected in single member constituencies and 225 party list.
