Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview with the American channel CBS have listed the reasons why his country went wrong relations with the United States. Among these reasons is the problem of refugees, interference in running the country, and a coup attempt.

“Let me speak very frankly, I am famous for my honesty. Would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. Because I was disappointed” – quoted Erdogan TASS.

According to him, Washington’s policy in Syria has led to a real threat to security in the southern part of Turkey, since the American side prevents him to defend their country. He also accused the United States that Turkey was almost three million refugees – twice more than in the whole of Europe.

“We solved these problems, discussed them with President Obama and Vice President Biden. They failed to show themselves from the best side and seriously to address these challenges. This is very frustrating for us,” said the head of state.

Erdogan also extremely dissatisfied with the reluctance of the US to give Ankara living in the us Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, who is considered one of the organizers of the July coup in the country.

“I’m not going to blame the US. But this position will adhere to my people. Why do you still employ that person? Yet you give him sanctuary, such will be the perception of the Turkish state and the Turkish people”, – concluded the President.
