The former head of administration head of the Komi Republic Elena Shabarshina, accused of receiving a bribe, chose a measure of restraint. The Syktyvkar city court has agreed to release ex-official on bail, reports FlashNord.

The consequence petitioned for the election Shabarshina measures of restraint in the form of a pledge of three million rubles. The judge granted it, reducing the amount of the Deposit up to two million rubles. Shabarshina already charged under part 6 of article 290 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “bribe reception in especially large size”.

In July of Shabarchina did not attend the meeting in Syktyvkar city court, which was then to elect the measure of restraint. The reason was the hospitalization of the suspect – she took a large quantity of drugs then the doctors decided to put her in the hospital.

According to investigators, from January 2007 to August 2015 Shabarshina, which was then headed by the election Commission of the Komi Republic, received a systematically – usually monthly – through intermediaries from operating at that time Deputy head of the Republic of Komi Konstantin Ramazanova funds “for General patronage and connivance in the service. During the specified period the defendant received a remuneration not less than six million rubles.

Shabarchina in the course of interrogation admitted his guilt in committing a crime. She also wrote a statement that he is leaving the post of head of administration head of the Komi Republic on their own.

We will remind, Konstantin Romadanov is under arrest on the case about organizing a criminal group and swindle in especially large size, the main defendant is the former head of Komi Vyacheslav Gaizer, was arrested in September 2015.

The case also arrested 13 people, including Deputy head of Komi Alexey Chernov and the Governor of the region Yevgeny Samoilov. According to investigators, the criminal group operated since 2006, its goal was the seizure of state property. The damage from the actions of the group is estimated at one billion rubles.
