Verkhnyaya Pyshma city court of Sverdlovsk region has started to consider criminal case about a series of ritual murders in which accused the former guardian of order. He exterminated the people, believing that with the help of supernatural forces will be able to turn the dead into the “living dead.” Although the circumstances of the case raise the question of the sanity of the alleged murderer, he was signed pre-trial agreement.

At the meeting on Friday it became known that the case of former policeman Arsen Meirambekov will be considered in special proceedings – without examining the evidence, writes “Kommersant”. As it turned out, after the arrest, the defendant admitted his guilt and concluded from the result of the Treaty of complete cooperation.

As the lawyer told Arsene Barabanova Ekaterina Ponomareva, in the process, the defense will pay attention to a forensic medical examination. “The position will be linked to the fact that the defendant was not aware of the actual nature of their actions. We will analyze the conclusion of forensic scientists, which reveals the sanity or insanity of my ward,” – said Ponomarev.

In connection with the guilty plea to Arsene Meirambekov faces a maximum 12 years imprisonment, two years for each selected life.

According to investigators, in the period from 2002 to 2014 Meirambekov committed on the territory of Sverdlovsk region six murders. So, in 2002 and 2010, using firearms he paid killed two of the Ekaterinburg businessmen. “Customers in both these cases also brought to criminal responsibility”, – have informed in SK the Russian Federation.

In addition, in 2014 Meirambekov, “being passionate about the study of occult rituals, committed in the territory of Sverdlovsk region the murder of four local residents who have no permanent residence, abusing alcoholic drinks”.

The killer believed that sacrifices were “light and dark pagan gods that could give him power from on high”. Three psychological-psychiatric examination recognised Meirambekov sane, says “the Media”.

“In examining identity Meirambekov provides that until the Commission of crimes, he served in the patrol-sentry militia service in the Republic of Dagestan in the course of one year. In relation Meirambekov conducted three psychological and psychiatric examination, the results of which he is declared sane,” – said in the press release of the investigative Department.

The investigation conducted the fourth investigation Department of GSU SK of Russia with the location in the city of Yekaterinburg. Previously, they refused to comment.

Meirambekov charged under part 2 of article 105 (“Murder of two and more persons”), part 1 of article 222 (“Illegal arms trafficking”) of the criminal code. The qualification of the offense provides for punishment up to life term of imprisonment.
