The Union of fans, The Well Society has acquired 76% stake in Scottish football club “Motherwell” for one million pounds, reports the press service of the club.

The story of the club transfer to the possession the fans began in January 2015, when John Boyle has sold a controlling stake in the Woods Hutchinson for the same amount with the condition that he will help the fans to take control of the team.

Informed at the last annual meeting of the Association it was decided that the fans are ready to manage the club, and then between the Association and the Hutchinson signed an agreement on the transfer of shares to fans in exchange for monetary compensation.

“The Association would like to thank Hutchinson and Boyle for their invaluable contribution to the team. We would also like to thank all the fans, without whom this would not have been possible”, – stated in the message Association.

In this season of the championship of Scotland “Motherwell”, which in recent times became the champion of the country in the season of 1931/32, occupies the penultimate place in the standings with nine points after ten meetings.
