Monday, August 24, at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya will pass farewell to the people’s artist of the USSR Lev Durov, who died at 84, the year after a long illness.
“Farewell Lev Konstantinovich will be held in the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya Monday, August 24, beginning at 10 am. Then he will be buried at Novodevichy cemetery”, – quotes RIA “news” the message of the theatre. Previously, the main Director of theatre Sergey Solomatov said farewell ceremony will take approximately three hours.
With a request to bury artist at Novodevichy cemetery Moscow authorities asked his family. Lev Durov will be laid to rest next to the representatives of the dynasty Durov – circus artists.

Lev Konstantinovich Durov was born 23 December 1931 in Moscow. The Durov family belongs to the famous dynasty of Russian circus performers – actor had a grandnephew of the famous circus performers of Vladimir and Anatoly Durov. However, parents of Lev Durov were not associated with the circus: the father, Konstantin, was working in Southstream, mother, Valentina I., – in the military-historical archive.

After graduating from the Higher courses for Directors Lev Durov became a Director and since then has successfully combined acting with a Director. Also Durov collaborated with the theater “School of modern drama”, the scene is played in productions of “All will be well as you wanted” (Semyon Zlotnikov), “Mrs. lion” (Sergei Kokovkin), “…Hey, don Quixote! “(by Miguel Cervantes), “Anton Chekhov. Seagull”.
In December 2011 in the Moscow theater on Malaya Bronnaya the premiere of the play by Shakespeare’s play “the Tempest,” in which the lion Durov has played the main role of the magician Prospero. The performance was jointly staged by Lev Durov and Director Igor Drawlevel.
In the movie the lion Durov began acting in 1954 and has played more than 160 roles.
