The Russian fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko has signed a contract with the Bellator organization for a few fights. The athlete said at a press conference.
Previously, it was officially announced that the next fight Emelianenko will hold on 18 February against American Matt Mitrione.
“We have a long relationship with Bellator, where many times I came as a guest, here are some of the best fighters. I watched their tournaments and I am grateful to Scott Coker (the head of the organization) for the opportunity to speak. We signed a contract for several fights, will go all out to try to win,” said Emelianenko.
July 14, 2015 Emelianenko announced the resumption of a career. On December 31 last year in Saitama (Japan), he won over the Indian Jaideep Singh, and on June 17, 2016 in St. Petersburg won the match of Brazilian Fabio Maldonado.
In total, Emelianenko spent in MMA 40 fights (35 wins, four defeats, and one fight was stopped on doctor’s decision).
