Russian magazine Forbes for the first time ranked the most commercially successful Directors in Russia. Got creators, fees which far exceeded the budgets spent on their production. We analyzed the pictures taken after 2000.
First place in the ranking by a large margin took Timur Bekmambetov, whose films have earned 430 million dollars. The most successful of them is “wanted” with Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman in the lead roles. The picture has collected in hire to 341,4 million dollars more than the cost of its production.
Second place was awarded to the art Director of the company Bekmambetov’s Bazelevs Production of Levan Gabriadze, who played in the cult film of George Danelia “kin-DZA-DZA”. His films brought 79,3 million dollars of these funds $ 64 million earned picture of the “Remove from friends”.
