Russian David Belyavskiy took the first place in the pommel horse at the European Championships in gymnastics, which takes place these days in the Romanian city of Cluj.

“Today I did not expect for gold, because I was up against an Olympic champion in this kind of Christian burkey, – said Beliavsky in an interview with TASS. But he gave me the victory. Despite the outward calm I was very nervous inside, I was shaking all over, but this was not visible. The preparation for this tournament I got greased one’s bothered, then another, and I could not train properly”.

David Belyavsky became five-time European champion, to his credit, there are also silver and bronze for the 2016 Olympics.
