The American company Hewlett-Packard (HP) July 8, officially liquidated LTD. Hewlett-Packard factory, registered in Shushary, near St. Petersburg (Russia) and engaged in the production of personal computers, the newspaper “Kommersant”.

The plant in Shushary was launched in April 2010 in conjunction with Taiwanese manufacturer Foxconn, which assemble electronics by orders from leading global brands. The partners have invested about $ 50 million. First HP produced in the industrial zone near St. Petersburg, desktop computers, and in August 2013 launched the Assembly of the monoblocks.
