The Russian team defeated the team of Sweden with the score 3:2 in the second match of the Karjala Cup hockey championship (the first tournament), held in the Finnish capital.

In the Russian national team washers were noted defender Rushan Rafikov (20′), Alexander Barabanov (24′) and Valeri Nichushkin (49′). The Swedes scored Rickard Gynge (25′) and Carl Klingberg (50′).

“The game would not have been nervous, had we converted our chances. Not played very well in the first period, the second added,” – said after a match to journalists the head coach of our team Oleg Znarok.

For the Russian team this is the second victory for the Finnish tournament. In the opening match, the national team beat the hosts of ice with the account 5:1.

In the next match of the tournament, the Russians on Sunday will play against the Czech Republic. On the same day the Finns will meet with the Swedes.
