In the suburbs of the Australian city of Brisbane, Queensland, the police are faced with an unusual finding, miliusa guards. During the arrest the suspect, the police seized a backpack in which there was a baby Koala. The baby was taken to the police station where he was taken into the care of the staff of the local animal rescue services.

The night before, the staff of Department of fight against crime, in searching the suspect stopped to check the car on Newham road in the suburbs of Brisbane. The car was 50-year-old woman who was later arrested for investigation of all circumstances, reported on the website of the police South of Brisbane.

The woman gave the police a green canvas backpack, saying that it is a baby Koala. “Not quite believing his ears, the police carefully unzipped the backpack and found this wonderful boy,” – the report says the police South of Brisbane.

Detained said that he had found a Koala the night before on the highway in the suburb of Nathan, located about 14 km from Brisbane, and since then cared for the baby. Police checked the woman’s request.

The baby Koala was taken to a police station where the kid was taken away employees of local emergency services animal rescue RSPCA Queensland. It turned out that the animal is about six months. “It weighs three pounds and we called him Alfred,” – said the representative of the organization Michael Beatty.

Experts have concluded that the health of the baby is in good condition, though the body is a little dehydrated. “He underwent a course of rehydration therapy, but is on the mend and will soon be handed over to the nurse,” said Beatty.

While in the RSPCA urged all those who also accidentally meet a Koala, don’t try to care for an animal yourself. “Please call our hotline on animal care. Part of the animal may not have obvious signs of the injury, but he may have internal injuries that require immediate care,” – said in the organization.
