During a police operation in Guangdong province in southern China, police seized two tons of methamphetamine and arrested at least 11 suspects.
According to the Agency Xinhua, the operation took place simultaneously in the cities of Jieyang, Shanwei, Shenzhen and Guangdong. Guards in two stages shut down two clandestine factories for the production of drugs. During the searches were seized two homemade gun and ammunition.
Head of division on struggle against drugs of Guangdong province Dan Jinwei told that in September, investigators received information that several people, including a citizen of Vietnam and a native of Hong Kong, establish a channel of delivery of methamphetamine in Hong Kong. In late September, police have eliminated one factory for the production of drugs in Guangzhou. Then, they arrested one suspect and seized more than a ton of methamphetamine in liquid and solid form. After that, the criminals moved production to other locations.
As notes the edition, only the first three quarters of the year the police of Guangdong province seized 14.7 tons of drugs and arrested 19 suspects thousands.
