In Hungary, in Tolna region where Rosatom in 2018 begins construction of new power units of NPP “Paks”, when placing these units will have to comply with particular environmental regulations adopted in the Republic in April of this year.

Approved environmental license of the NPP project requires from the participants of the international project to pay special attention to the conservation of protected species of animals and plants.

Although the area where will be built new units, has great natural values, if necessary, may be issued a decision on temporary movement of all protected species. Under the relocation can get, among other plants, feather grass, Sedum of Hillebrandt, as well as some species – grasshoppers, locusts and Hungarian deltoides Malaya, and European green lizard.

As reported by RIA “Novosti”, if necessary, these types can be moved in a designated natural area with natural boundaries, and after the construction of the station returned.

Now, the Paks nuclear power plant operated built in 1974-1987, with the participation of the Soviet Union four atomic power, accounting for more than 40% of all produced in Hungary electricity. This station is among the safest and most reliable nuclear power plants in the world.

In late 2014, Russia and Hungary signed documents on the construction of the fifth and sixth units of NPP “Paks” with reactors to the advanced Russian project VVER-1200, corresponding the most modern, so-called post-Fukushima standards of reliability and security. Russia will give Hungary the project “Paks-2″ state loan of 10 billion euros, and the total cost is 12.5 billion euros.
