Israel detained 19-the summer young man, a suspect in the mailings of the false warnings about the bomb scare and threats about imminent attacks on Jewish targets in the U.S., reports NEWSru Israel with reference to the press service of the local police.

According to a source, the 19-year-old Israeli citizen was arrested on the morning of 23 March in the South of the country. Law enforcement officers conducted a search in his apartment, which was seized computers and media storage devices.

The operation to identify a suspect in the crimes was carried out keberadaan unit “Lahav-433″ in cooperation with foreign colleagues, including from the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI).

As noted by Reuters, the suspect may be involved in dozens of false threats about bombs at the Jewish cultural centers not only in the U.S. but also in Australia and New Zealand.

Simultaneously it became known that in Ohio in early March in the city of Lorain, unknown vandals drew a swastika on the door of the local synagogue. Beside a swastika was written: “We rise and throw you in the gas chambers.” The incident occurred March 1.

On March 3, the FBI announced the arrest of a man who threatened to blow up Jewish community centers. It is assumed that he sent at least eight of the threats, trying to impersonate his ex-girlfriend. 31-year-old Juan Thompson “caused chaos, demanded hundreds of hours of police work and other law-enforcement structures”. The suspect was arrested in St. Louis (Missouri) and was soon to stand trial.

The consequence adheres to the version according to which the prisoner Thompson may be considered a mere copycat of “telephone terrorists” behind dozens of threats to Jewish centers.

In February, Jewish community centers located in the States of Florida, new Jersey, Rhode island, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Michigan, received threats inherent in the buildings the bomb. Some of them were closed due to “emergency situation”.

In just the last three months about 100 Jewish community centers and schools received reports that on their territory the explosive device. The police believes that “the telephone terrorist” has taken at least five “massive attacks” on Jewish centers.
