In Kaluga has built a new art object-a globe Russia. No other countries on a two-meter balloon there, and the territory of Kaluga region is decorated with a huge heart, informs a site “KP-Kaluga”. The monument opened on the day when President Vladimir Putin saidthat “Russia’s borders never ends” – Nov 24. But the mayor calls or to look for political overtones.
The globe opened in the Park on Lenin street next to the shops “planet of fur” and “seasons”. “KP-Kaluga” reports that the monument opened in the dark, by the light of street lamps and modest representation of the media.
It turned out that the time picked up, focusing on the operating schedule of the mayor Konstantin Gorobtsova. He cut the rope on the case and has presented the globe of aircraft-grade metal, where all countries, except Russia, flooded the ocean. “A gift to the beloved city! In a very nice new Park there is a new object! Moreover, as it is not turn – everywhere a map of Russia and the place of our beloved city of Kaluga,” – said Gorobtsov.
The idea of creating an art object belongs to urban Management. “Everybody remembers that there was a neglected territory. There was a small square. On a very small patch you can’t make beauty, it is impossible to swing, so the idea was to put here is this object, which will be remembered by the citizens, and will delight all passers-by,” explained the mayor.
Gorobtsov also said that he personally made changes to the project, for example, was told to stretch Russia in both hemispheres. Assures that this is done for the convenience of tourists: “do Not look at the situation politically! Nothing! Just when people are photographed, they always like to twist. Accordingly, it will be difficult to catch the moment when it will be Russia. And with the two sides or the other, there is our country.”
Similar in plan, the monument is in Uzbekistan: there is a globe crowns the independence Monument. A cliche “the globe of Ukraine” has led to the release of a number of souvenir globes where the entire earth’s surface is occupied by Ukraine.
