In Khabarovsk, Colonel, Ministry of interior, received bribes, sentenced to a fine of 18 million rubles
The Central district court of Khabarovsk has pronounced a sentence to the officer of the interior Ministry, who was found guilty of bribery.
According to the decision of the Russian Themis, Lieutenant Colonel of internal service, retired, is appointed punishment in the form of 7,5 years of imprisonment conditionally. The probationary period will be three years. In addition, the former guardian of order fined 18 million rubles, reports the official website of the regional Prosecutor’s office.
Also the court has deprived the retired police the right to hold positions in public service and in local government for a period of two years.
As follows from the materials of the criminal case, the convict held the post of Deputy head of the Department of food supply of PKU “DOUBTS of the MIA of Russia” (DOUBTS – far East regional management of the logistics).
25 Dec 2015, Lieutenant Colonel, being in the center of Khabarovsk, through a mediator received a bribe of 300 thousand rubles.
“Money is a Lieutenant Colonel was received for the Commission in favor of the briber action in the form of the creation of advantages (not posing obstacles) when concluding and performing public contracts for the supply of food for the needs of PKU “DOUBTS of the MIA of Russia”, – said in a press release.
Investigators also concluded that “in virtue of official position, the accused could contribute to the” victory of a firm in the tender.
The actions of a police officer qualified under paragraph “C” of part 5 of article 290 (“Bribe in the large size”) the criminal code of the Russian Federation.
