British activists from the organization The Syria Campaign has built an installation made of hundreds of plastic hands in front of the Russian Embassy in the capital of the UK, blocking the entrance to the diplomatic mission.

Their actions activists protested against the offensive on the Syrian city of Aleppo, which, it is feared in Europe and the United States can deploy Russia on the background of the U.S. elections, reports the BBC Russian service.

“The coming Russian offensive in Aleppo under the counter-terrorism slogans can mean the killing of thousands of civilians who are unable to leave the city. World governments not doing enough to stop it”, – stated in the message, The Syria Campaign.

Simultaneously, the organization launched the Twitter hashtag #EUsaveAleppo (“EU save Aleppo”) and urges its supporters to call the Russian Embassy in their countries and to Express dissatisfaction.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation also noted that the protest was held against the backdrop of “ongoing rabid Russophobic campaign in the British media, inspired by numerous anti-Russian statements of the official British persons”.

We will remind, the Russian authorities announced that on 4 November in Aleppo will be another humanitarian pause. During the cessation of hostilities, the Russian military offered extremists remaining in the city, to leave.

The British press reported earlier that President Vladimir Putin is planning a new major offensive on Aleppo – with catastrophic humanitarian consequences for remaining in the city of 250 thousand civilians.
