The inhabitant of Samara Maria Rymar, was detained in Minsk airport for the post of TNT in her bag, the Belarusian authorities have sentenced to a fine. The court held that Rymar needs to pay a little more than a thousand dollar fine for his actions, reports “Interfax”.

“Oktyabrsky district court of Minsk found human rights activist from Samara Maria Rymar guilty under part 1 of article 340 criminal code “false report about the danger” and made her the penalty of a fine of 100 basic units,” – said in court. A basic unit is now the 21st Belarusian ruble, the dollar equivalent of 2100 Belarusian rubles, which is about $ 1,100.

At the same time to return to Russia’s Maria Rymar after October 24, when the verdict
will enter into force.

Note that after indictment, the investigation turned to the Prosecutor’s office of Belarus with a request for the release of the Russians on bail, but the request was denied. In the end, Rymar few months remained in custody “in the absence of a permanent residence on the territory of the country.”

The incident occurred on 7 July. The inhabitant of Samara Rymar is an associate of local social LGBT movement “AVERS”. She flew from Kiev to Moscow via Belarus, but was detained at the time of check in for the flight Minsk – Moscow.

At examination she had an argument with the airport staff and she inadvertently made a joke about TNT in the bag. After that it was removed from the flight and opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 340 of the criminal code (“Knowingly false report about the danger”). The sanction of the first part of this article provides till five years of imprisonment.

As explained, a Minsk-based lawyer detained Vadim mushinsky, in connection with power control in the capital of Belarus after inspection of the passengers are additionally searched in person that did not like Rymar.
