Exhibition by American artist hunt Slonem, whose works are in the collections of such stars as Sharon stone, Brooke shields and Julianne Moore, was first held in Moscow in the autumn of this year, reports RIA “Novosti” with reference to the organizers.

“Russian Academy of arts, Moscow Museum of modern art and Serge Sorokko Gallery (San Francisco, CA, USA) present a large-scale exhibition project of the hunt Slonem, one of the most prominent representatives of American neo-expressionism. In the first exhibition of Slonim in Russia will be shown 34 works from the most important cycles of the artist created in the last ten years”, – stated in the message.

According to the organizers, in Moscow work Slonim brings Serge Sorokko Gallery, which played a key role in the organization of cultural exchanges between the U.S. and Russia, including in the exhibition of new York artists in Moscow in 1989.

At the upcoming exhibition will display paintings from the most famous cycles artist: butterflies, birds, flowers and rabbits – samples of his art, combining elements of pop art and figurative expressionism. Repetitive, bright and sensual images – acceptance, turning to Slonim to obsession.

Since 1977 solo exhibition of hunt Slonem took place in museums and galleries in many countries. His work can be seen in Paris, Stockholm, Madrid, Oslo, Cologne, Venice, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
