In Moscow employees of law enforcement bodies conducted a search in the apartment of the former Director of the Metropolitan school N57, which was suspect in the indecent assault against a minor, the teacher Boris Meyerson. In mid-February, the Moscow city court upheld the decision on its correspondence arrest.
“The apartment on Lomonosovsky Prospekt, the ex-Director of the school N57 Sergey Mendelevich and his wife, still working at the school, were searched”, – said the Agency “Interfax” a source in law enforcement bodies. According to him, during the searches were seized materials necessary for further criminal investigation.
In September last year following the SK check of reports of abuse of pupils in the Moscow 57th school was initiated a criminal case under part 4 of article 135 of “Depraved acts committed by group of persons by prior conspiracy or by an organized group”.
Suspected of committing the crime, was called a former Professor of history Boris Meyerson and former pupils of the school Maria nemser. The consequence suspects that in the spring of 2010, “entered into preliminary agreement, they committed indecent assault against at that time 16-year-old student of the school.”
Scandal in the 57-th school began on August 29 with a post in Facebook the journalist Ekaterina Krongauz, which claimed that one of the teachers – Boris Meyerson – engage in sexual relations with Schoolgirls for 16 years, which was known to many teachers and leaders.
A public outcry led to the change of school leadership. Director Sergey Mendelevich, who held the position since 1986, resigned September 6, his application was approved by the Department of education. The new superintendent was a former Director of the Lyceum N1581 Alexander of Tver, and his Deputy, former rector of the Russian economic school Andrew bramsen.
In mid-February, the Moscow city court upheld the decision on arrest in absentia of former teachers of the school N57 Boris Meyerson, which is located outside the Russian Federation. In addition, the Khamovnichesky court in absentia arrested the former student of nesar. Lawyer Sergey Peshkov, representing Meyerson, said that his client did not plead guilty. “My client is innocent. In fact there is no evidence of his guilt”, – said the lawyer.
