Wednesday, December 2, prison in the Pakistani city of Kohat executed four people involved in the attack on a school in December 2014, reports Reuters. All four sentenced were hanged.
For the first time in Pakistan, civilians were executed by sentence of the military Tribunal. These courts were established in the country after the massacre at the school.
The verdict of Hazrat Ali, Mujib-ur-Rehman, Sabilo and Abdul Salama was delivered on 13 August this year. All of them recognized members of the Pakistani wing of the Taliban (organization banned in Russia). In addition to them, have been sentenced to death three more people, but they are still awaiting a warrant for the enforcement of sentence.
We will remind, the attack on military school in Peshawar occurred in December 2014 and became the deadliest terrorist attack of the Taliban in Pakistan’s history. In total the attack killed 151 people, 134 of them children.
After the attack, the Pakistani authorities cancelled the moratorium on the death penalty.
