Warsaw lawyer who has the citizenship of the Russian Federation and Poland, accused of spying for Russian military intelligence (GRU), reports AP.

Representative of the Warsaw Prosecutor Wlodzimierz Burkatzki told reporters on 5 may that Stanislav sh (his name is not disclosed in accordance with the law on the protection of privacy) is accused of espionage activities against the interests of Poland in 2012-2014.

According to Polish media, he is the son of the former goalkeeper of a football national team of the USSR who moved with his family to Poland in 1991.

Stanislav sh. was arrested in the fall of 2014 and is still in custody. The indictment was sent to court in Warsaw in late April. Lawyer faces up to 10 years in prison.

At the same time as the lawyer, on suspicion of espionage in favor of Russia was arrested by a Polish officer with the rank of Colonel, who has already appeared before a military court in Warsaw, the report said.

According to local media reports, Stanislav W. worked at a law office, had relation to the construction of the gas terminal in Szczecin in the Baltic sea, which should reduce the dependence of Poland on Russian gas, and also attended the sessions of the Polish parliamentary commissions on the fuel markets.
