The head of the Russian trade Union of football players Alexander Zotov noted that many players at a very young age are left without a livelihood. To overcome this problem it is planned to create a pension Fund for football players.

“We have the idea of creating a pension Fund for football players because a very large number of guys at the end of a career, unfortunately, lose their money at a young age are left without a livelihood, – quotes TASS of the word Zotova. – There should be deductions from wages to the end of a career to have a stable payments from the Fund. It will not organize a Union and qualified companies that do this, we will talk to banks and insurance companies, everything will be transparent and players will be able to see and understand that it will benefit them.

Also there is the idea of stabilization funds in the leagues in which the clubs should pay a certain, not necessarily a lot of money. To then funds could support the kids and the clubs that went bankrupt. The players are ordinary workers with families, obligations, loans, and in the second League salaries are very small – many 10-15 thousand rubles. In the first division limit the salary is 300 thousand rubles per month, but many do not get that money.”
