In the systems of Russia’s largest credit institution Sberbank, the evening of November 10 has failed. As reported by RNS, a failure has led to delays in servicing client requests.

According to the Agency, a few hours before the message about failure a number of users “Vkontakte” complained of problems with the conduct of online transactions in the community Bank in the social network.

Later the “savings Bank” has explained to journalists of RBCthat the web resource “Sberbank online” was subjected to multiple powerful DDoS attack, which lasted several hours.

“The attack was successfully reflected by the protection systems of the Bank. There have been some slowing down from several seconds to several minutes to provide this service”, – said the representative of the Bank. He said that failures in the provision of the services systems of the Bank were not recorded.

The Central Bank said that the Central monitoring and response to computer attacks in the financial sphere (Finart) recorded the attack on a number of large banks, involving a botnet.

Yesterday, 9 November, it became knownthat the system of “Sberbank” was subjected to DDoS-attacks. The Bank said that the hackers organized the attack on 8 November. The first was in the morning, and the second, more powerful – night.

In addition to “Sberbank”, hackers attacked four of the credit institution, including “Alfa-Bank”. According to “Kaspersky Lab”, more than half of the devices from which attacks were made, was located on the territory of the United States, India, Taiwan and Israel.
