On Podolskaya street Saint-Petersburg was opened the first Museum in the country rock artifacts, which collected personal items, autographs and tools world-famous rock musicians.

“The collection began with drum sticks, caught by me at the concert System of a Down. I organize trips to Europe, we spend a lot of time at rock concerts, our whole life is connected with music. Once in the office began to gather autographed photos, sticks, mediators, appeared the idea of creating this Museum”, – told “Interfax” the Director of the Museum Anna Turova.

Today the Museum has almost a thousand exhibits. Most of them gave the collector Oleg Osokin, three decades collecting items related to rock music. Visitors can see, for example, the cane Alice Cooper, drum sticks, guitar picks and set lists of groups such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns’n’roses and Placebo. Many things signed by musicians or accompanied by autographs.

“It’s not just looking at exhibits, we tell that we have collected about the history of things, spend our days dedicated to a certain group. In collections of Russian musicians, there are only a few things, mostly contains objects that belong to global stars,” says Turov. Photos from the opening ceremony of the Museum published in its official group in social network “Vkontakte”.

Additionally, relatively close to new Museum, in the doorways Ligovsky Prospekt, is the Church an improvised John Lennon’s and the world’s only vertical street named after legendary beatle.
