Investigators GSU SK the Russian Federation across Crimea have charged a man suspected of a murder committed decades ago. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect strangled the acquaintance on the beach, and then strapped the corpse to the anchor and drowned.

At present, the suspect fully admitted guilt in the murder, according to the official website of the regional investigation Department.

As follows from the materials of the criminal case, in August 1996, a 32-year-old victim with their friends vacationing on the shore of the sea in area of Kerch. “During the earlier of the conflict between the victim and the accused on the grounds of personal aversions man strangled her,” – said in a press release. To conceal the crime, the killer tied to the leg of the victim anchor and dumped the body at sea.

The evening of 22 August 1996 on the Black sea was found the body of a woman, tied to an anchor. However, “more than 20 years this crime remained unsolved,” he said in GSU SK the Russian Federation.

In 2014, after the annexation of Crimea to Russia and formation in its territory investigating bodies SK the Russian Federation on the fact of murder of women was a criminal case under part 1 of article 105 of the criminal code (“Murder”).
