In the state Duma on may 17, opens the exhibition “Industrial heritage of the Donbass”, which was organized by the Deputy of the faction “United Russia” Iosif Kobzon and the Committee of the lower house of Parliament on the culture. The opening ceremony is expected to also take part the acting Minister of coal industry of the Donetsk national Republic (DND) Eduard Golenko.
As it became known to RBC, the organizers will propose to create on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk national republics “of the post-industrial landscape and recreation reserve” that, according to their idea, will lead to the occurrence of major tourism cluster.
War-torn mines of the Donbass, according to the organizers of the exhibition, the urgent need of preservation, as “the looming threat of destruction of objects of industrial heritage in its scale comparable with the recent events in Palmyra (Syria), where the result of the fighting savagely destroyed the world cultural heritage”.
The exhibition will feature photographs of the industrial Donbas region since its formation (mid nineteenth century) to the present day. “Along with historical photographs and archival documents from the collections of the museums of cities and enterprises of Donbass will be shown pictures of modern authors”, – stated in the description of the exhibition.
Recall that in late February, “Fair Russia” in the Duma introduced a draft law simplifying the acquisition of Russian passports for “Russian speakers”. It is first and foremost about the residents of the breakaway DND and LNR. The draft law was prepared by the deputies of the lower chamber of Parliament from “Fair Russia”, headed by its leader Sergey Mironov.
Previously, an attempt to bring a similar bill has already made the Duma United Russia, in particular Natalia Poklonskaya and Director of the Institute of CIS countries Konstantin Zatulin. The bill is intended to allow you to obtain citizenship by the “law of the soil” – the fact of birth of the applicant or his direct relatives on the territory of Russia, the former USSR or the Russian Empire. The main criterion is assumed to take the knowledge of the Russian language. The project is not yet considered by the Parliament, but approved by the Committee for the Affairs of nationalities.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the recognition of passports and license plates of the DNI and LC 18 Feb 2017. In addition, for citizens of the breakaway republics are subject to the same rules of stay on the territory of Russia, and for Ukrainians: not more than 90 consecutive days with a further departure from the country for the same period. The decision on the recognition of passports of citizens of the unrecognized republics condemned by the OSCE and then NATO.
