Territorial Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the city of Ishim Tyumen region, accused the bookshop and its owner, Tatyana Kotlyarova in the dissemination of information that can “harm the health or development of children”. Such officials considered the tale of Peter Yershov “the humpbacked Horse” without age labels, reports “New newspaper”. Claims were Andersen’s fairy tales – though it later turned out that there is an icon “0+” officials simply could not see.

Kotlyarova said that the representatives of the Supervisory authority perused the assortment: “we Have several variants of the tale Yershov, they chose the one that is part of a series “School library” and presented a complaint to us: in the book there is an information sign indicating what age can read it. Graphic sign on it do not, but there is an inscription “book literary publication for children of secondary school age.”

The case went to court, and the court accepted the claim of the representatives of the regulator for consideration. Kotlyarova believes that the judge should stand on her side: first, information can be a text, and secondly, the law “does not apply to relations in the sphere of circulation of information products having significant historical, artistic or other cultural value for society.”

The owner of the bookstore suggests that claims to the range is an attempt to punish herself for being active in blog, where she allows herself to criticism against the local authorities.

Pursuant to article 6.17 Cao (violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation on the protection of children from information harmful to their health and (or) development) book store as a legal entity in case of a positive court decision at the suit of the regulator faces a fine of from 20 to 30 thousand rubles.
