Petushki district of Vladimir region there was a major accident: 16 people were killed in the collision of the passenger bus and the train station Cover. TASS on Friday, 6 October, said the head of the administration Cover, Vyacheslav Arakelov.

“At the moment it is known about 16 victims, 34 living with two children in intensive care, 12 people, according to preliminary estimates, was taken by ambulance,” said Arakelov. Among victims at least one child, said TASS in the emergency services.

Four victims, including two children, taken from the scene in Petushki district hospital: two men, a boy of five and a girl aged two years, said the Agency in a medical institution. “They are in critical condition, the fifth victim to us now lucky soon”, – said the Agency interlocutor.

In the regional emergency Department reported that in the accident hit a bus traveling from Kazakhstan to Moscow. On the website of the Central regional center of EMERCOM of Russia noted that the accident occurred at 03:39 local time on a railway crossing.

The bus collided with a train, which followed the route Saint Petersburg – Nizhniy Novgorod. The bus was carrying 56 people.

According to preliminary data, the violation of traffic rules by the bus driver became the reason of road accident reported in a press-service UMVD on region. The bus drove on forbidding signal of a traffic light, causing the collision occurred with the train, police said.

According to others, the cause of the accident was the fault of the engine on the bus.
“According to preliminary data, the bus stalled on a railway crossing and it almost blew a passenger train,” reported TASS a source in law enforcement bodies.

At the scene working police officers, to clarify the identity of the victims, investigated all the circumstances of the accident. Arrived at the scene the management of UMVD of Russia across Vladimir region.
