In Turkey detained reporters of the British broadcasting Corporation BBC and radio stations “Voice of America”. The detention took place in different cities in Southeast Turkey, a region inhabited mainly by Kurds.

Freelance reporter of “voice of America” Hadidian Farkin detained in Diyarbakir in the Southeast of the country, according to the station’s website , citing a family friend. The reasons for the detention are unknown. Due to the state of emergency declared in Turkey after the coup attempt in the summer, the lawyer could not contact her.
